a year agoI disagree with other people who gave 1 star because kids have to go through tryouts. That doesn’t mean this club deserves 1 star for that. We actually tried all different clubs in New Mexico and this one is better for competitive teams, unlike other clubs, where coaches aren’t really as serious and good as this club. With that said, I just wanted to add that Coach Mario is great!

a year agoWell I will say, my daughter played competitive soccer with another team since she was 6yrs old, she started with this team when she was 11 years old. All I can say is if you aren't there "type" maybe not the best team to join. Not only was there not much diversity on these teams but they had their favorites and they were not minorities. Very disheartening and not welcoming at all. Lastly, Simon Rothman is unprofessional and should throw the towel in. I believe he may not be with Rio Rapids anymore and I hope that's the case but if so, have him resign. I guess this review should be reflected more towards him, although he was maybe not the best representation of the club.

2 years agoThis is a NON-Inclusive club. I Highly recommend AYSO soccer. They are inclusive, your child doesn't have to be a Rockstar to make a team. To your response: it would have been great If someone called. I actually don't know why I didn't receive a call, maybe a phone number would be helpful since I still haven't received a call. I've never heard of a soccer tryout where only 8 children or fewer are selected, as in you have teams already set but possibly are looking to add 1 or 2 children? I am sincerely confused. Like I said, I am not aware of an all inclusive club where children have to earn thier spot on a team. Atleast that's not how your website describes itself. So for all the parents wanting thier children to play a sport without having to worry about that kind of standard or mentality, I still suggest AYSO.

a year agoThis soccer club is amazing. Both of my kids started at age 5 and have played all through high school. Amazing coaches and leadership.
