North Park Boathouse

"This is a great place to get a bite to eat in North Park. They have a good amount of craft beer etc on tap, buy local food when possible and offer patio seating and a great view of the lake. Food is american style mostly and there are several salads and other options that suite almost any diet. Right next to Kayak Pgh so can go kayaking on lake before or after as well. I believe kids eat free on Thurs but you can check schedule. In the summer months they have Outside The Box Labs come out on special nights to do their OTBcrybar (liquid nitrogen cocktails). "It's been quite a while since I've been in North Park. But I have spent a lot of time in my past in that park. I always felt like the lake was a total waste because they never used it for anything. Well times have changed there were so many kayaks canoes and paddle boards on the lake, it was amazing. I happened to go there with my senior group and we went at the invitation of Venture Outdoors who has a concession for renting out kayaks and other watercraft. We were extremely lucky that day, they fed us and anybody was able to go out for free on their boats. I certainly will go back someday on "

"I live north park. It is such a beautiful setting in a nice area. The restaurant is delicious and the rental house is great!"
