What parents say
"Nice place for a quick walk or to sit on a bench in a relatively quiet spot with nice trees and the oddly imposing sound of high voltage electrical lines overhead. There is a water fountain that actually has cold water! Normally electrical line corridors are fairly empty and unused, but this spot has been made into a nice community-use area."

"Wonderful getaway rec area in the middle of a big city. It offers a bike road and hiking trails so both bicyclists and hikers have the comfort and safety to move along easily. There are paths to the riverbank of the American River all along the main hiking trail. It is very woodsy. Go with a buddy during daylight hours. Mosquitoes and who knows what else are in the bushes by evening. We picked wild blackberries in August & noticed nut trees & wildflowers. Very beautiful & tranquil. We didn't go into the water so don't really know about water temp. Did see some people in the water tho. Take "

"Beautiful Park, it is on the smaller side but it has a good size play area for kids and a set up for soccer! It also has a 2 table gazebo. Love the trees here! Plenty of shade!"
