2 years agoWithout a bad conscience, I can recommend trips with Peak Adventures to anyone interested in outdoor trips! I'm an international student from Germany who doesn't have a car. Therefore, I was looking for cheap and good opportunities to see places in California, go for hikes and meet new people. Peak Adventures accelerated my expectations by far. I love how literally every staff member is super lovely and fun. They take "leave no trace behind" seriously and educate participants to a certain level. Also, the group size is always lovely (max. 20 participants). They encourage everybody to get to know the group. So far, I have gone on a day hike to lake Tahoe, Point Reyes and Apple Hill; Also, I've been on a weekend camping trip to lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park (see some pictures of that below). All the camping gear, as well as food, is provided. The price might seem high for some people, but trust me, it would be much more if you'd rent a car and the gear (I checked with my friends). You'll definitely find me on more trips! Thanks, Peak Adventures!!

2 years agoLook no further when trying a new outdoor adventure than with Peak Adventures! You are well taken care of by all of the trip staff/guides. It is a great way to get some sunshine or just an ego boost from being outdoors. Amazing way to meet some great well diverse people around Sac State. Been on hiking, whitewater rafting, Arches National Park a week long camping/road trip, and Yosemite National Park camping trip. All trips were incredible life changing experiences :))

3 years agoThis is the place to rent snowshoes! You get four days for the same price that other places charge for one day. They also rent out MSR Denali Evo which are some of the lightest snowshoes on the market. Keep in mind, they don't have heel lifts, so they're not intended for ascending. The shop is located on Sac State's campus, but parking was easy with the multiple 30 minute spots within short walking distance. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, great experience! By the way, the snowshoes worked great! I couldn't have summited Roundtop without them!

7 months agoAbsolutely amazing facility on campus! Went on two organised trips to Yosemite and Lake Tahoe, both at the beginning of my year abroad in Sacramento, which helped me so much connect to fellow students right from the beginning of my stay and experience California’s nature and beauty for a very fair price. I also went on a camping trip with my friends later during the semester. Despite our very little experience and spontaneous planning, Ross and his amazing team helped us to find the last available camping spots and gave us important information and tips for our trip. Not only do I recommend, but even urge you to experience at least a couple of the offered activities they offer to enrich your student life at Sacramento State. Every single team member is super kind, helpful and determined to make your experience unforgettable.

3 years agoMy friends and I went to Yosemite National Park this past weekend and we rented our camping equipment from Peak Adventures. The staff are super friendly and it was super affordable. They also give great advice for those who are very new to camping!
