Incredible organization doing meaningful work in the community. Beautiful, peaceful grounds and the people running the place are really lovely. I had the pleasure of meeting and walking the goats and helping out with some work around the farm. I cannot wait to visit again!

The Philly Goat Project has been offering amazing outreach events for the past 2 years at FDR Park and all around our community. We enjoyed their Philly Goats Gruff at Palumbo Park for the DVAA Future Fest. In January, we and hundreds of other treecyclers of all ages brought trees to be nibbled on by adorable, well-trained goats. Goats much prefer the trees to their usual hay. The project is located at Awsbury Farm in the Germantown area of Philly. This non-profit offers a variety of interactive programs with the goats. We joined in the Saturday goat walk (it is drop-in). Volunteers gently guided visitors in how to lead the goats on a leash around the grounds. They also offer goat yoga, grazing, goat education and therapy, with donations accepted. Check out their website. There is free street parking, but no parking lot.

We had so much fun! The goats are full of personality and are wildly entertaining. We went for a goat walk and got to take pictures and pet them. Everyone working there was friendly and the whole experience was full of energy. Perfect activity to do during covid. Can't wait to participate in goat happy hour when its time!

Philly Goat Project embodies the energy that promotes healing from trauma. Everyone's healing journey is different and I believe that Philly Goat Project has developed a space and program that can provide support toward wellness, togetherness, and peace.

Such a unique and fun experience! My kids LOVED IT. The goat team was amazing. It isn't cheap, but it's definitely worth it.
