💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →If considering private lessons, be prepared for significant scheduling and communication challenges; document all interactions and confirmations carefully.
- →For birthday parties, clarify the exact schedule and what can realistically be accomplished within 90 minutes. Plan to bring your own beverages and ice for adult guests.
- →Be aware that the venue's directions and location might not be ideal, potentially causing delays for party guests.
- →Open play is highly recommended for 'little ones' looking to burn energy in a positive environment.
Things to Consider
- ⚠Private lesson scheduling is highly unreliable: constant changes, ignored messages, last-minute cancellations, and double-bookings (one instance resulted in a child being unable to train after showing up).
- ⚠Communication regarding scheduling is non-existent, requiring parents to constantly chase for vague and unhelpful answers.
- ⚠Staff has shown a lack of professionalism and disregard for client time, including not apologizing in person for significant scheduling errors.
- ⚠Birthday parties are considered too short at 90 minutes to accommodate all aspects (food, cupcakes, gymnastics play, gifts).
- ⚠Directions and location for parties are not ideal, leading to guests being late.
- ⚠No drinks (soda/anything) are provided for adults at birthday parties, requiring hosts to make external arrangements (e.g., walk 7 blocks to purchase).
- ⚠Birthday party cost of $750 for 90 minutes is perceived as a 'rip-off' given the short duration and lack of amenities.
Price & Value
Classes and open play seem to offer good value, as children are learning faster and enjoying the experience. However, birthday parties are considered poor value at $750 for only 90 minutes, especially with the lack of adult refreshments and the perceived rush.
♿Accessibility & Special Needs
- •Directions and location are not ideal, potentially making the venue difficult to find for first-time visitors or those unfamiliar with the area.
🍎Food & Drink Policy
- •No drinks (soda or otherwise) are provided for adults at birthday parties; guests should plan to bring their own or purchase them externally.
🚗Parking Info
- •The 'directions and location are not ideal' comment suggests potential difficulties with parking or finding the venue, particularly for party guests.
👥Crowd Levels
- •Classes are noted to have small class sizes, suggesting a managed and not overly crowded experience during those times.
🛡️Safety Features
- •The presence of multiple instructors in classes likely contributes to better supervision and safety during activities.
⏰When to Avoid
- • Booking private lessons if reliable scheduling, clear communication, and professional client service are high priorities.
- • Hosting birthday parties if you need more than 90 minutes for the event, expect adult refreshments to be provided, or prefer a venue with easy-to-find directions and ideal accessibility.
- • Expecting a full birthday experience (play, food, gifts) within the strict 90-minute party window.

a month agoDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! This has been the most unprofessional and disorganized experience I have ever dealt with. Since May 10, 2024, I have endured constant scheduling nightmares, ignored messages, last-minute cancellations, and blatant disregard for my time. From the very beginning, getting a consistent private lesson time was a complete disaster. Every time I tried to confirm a slot, it was either already taken, changed without notice, or outright canceled. Communication was non-existent—I had to chase them down for every response, and even then, I was met with vague and unhelpful answers. The final straw? After months of rescheduling chaos, I showed up for my daughter’s lesson only to be told she couldn't train because they had double-booked her session. And to make it even worse, Coach didn’t even have the basic decency to apologize in person. Instead, she sent someone who acted like it was no big deal—like my time meant absolutely nothing. This place is a complete joke. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and have zero respect for their clients. If you value your time, money, or sanity, STAY FAR AWAY from this place. I am demanding a full refund and will never recommend this disaster of an establishment to anyone.

4 months agoI was quite upset about the length of time for a child's celebration with food, cupcakes and gymnastics play. 90 minutes??? Really too short!! Impossible to have all aspects of the party at the location. We were all late as the directions and location are not ideal, then were told there were no drinks for the adults; no soda or anything for adults to drink. I had to walk 7 blocks to get drinks for adults and ice. The kids barely had time to play and it was time to do birthday cupcakes. They had to stop playing. Now, we did not have time to open any gifts. I was very disappointed about the 90 minutes! Never again for me at $750.00!! What a rip-off!!

a year agoBoth my kids have been taking classes at I movement for over a year. They are so happy and love their classes. My son takes the ninja class and my daughter is in their gymnastics classes for little kids. The instructors are great and all the employees are so helpful and nice. The location is so convenient for us as well.

a year agoMy daughter started gymnastics with Philly InMovement this fall after her old gym closed down due to structural issues in early 2022. I am beyond pleased that I chose to enroll her here. She is learning at a much faster rate than before and she really enjoys the activities they plan for her group during each session. I appreciate that the class sizes aren't too big because it allows her to get an adequate amount of turns to practice new techniques before the end of class. Small class sizes and multiple instructors also help to keep her focus since she's no longer waiting for a large group of students to go ahead of her each time as she did at her old gym. I definitely made the right choice by enrolling her here. I highly recommend this gym to anyone interested in signing their child up.
