"Easy wide trail to the river. My wife, I and our 3 collies were going to start where the trail begins by the bridge. However, a group of men were there standing around and one man had a dog NOT ON A LEASH. We always feel that this is unsafe!! We have been attacked by unleashed dogs in the past! Still in our car, we turned back and started at the other entrance. About 50 feet into the trail There too was a man with an UNLEASHED DOG!! But since we had already started we continued. Our dogs though sweet collies can be unpredictable, depending on the attitude of the other dog. Scared, frightened, "

"I’ve been trying different trails in the area for mental health walks. I walked here yesterday and it was lovely. Gorgeous in the autumn. You do have to watch your step because of all the tree roots, but it’s a really nice nature walk with lots of places to sit and chill for a bit, or even put up a hammock. Bonus points for no highway noise until you get close to Coles Mill Rd. Helps it feel very serene."

"Very pleasant easy walk. 80 degree day but under the tree canopy it was very nice. Limited parking but was not crowded weekday afternoon."
