6 years agoMy favorite part of the river! River Dogs is a cool little shack under the trees by the water. The livery is very well run which helps make the trip relaxing and carefree. The river is exciting and very scenic. I saw the bald eagles and really enjoyed the few rapids. Definitely a good way to disconnect...

6 years agoA hidden gem! My boyfriend and I have gone out with River Dogs Paddlesports a few times this season, both as a couple and with friends. It has been an pleasurable adventure EVERY time! Favorite part of the Little Miami, by far! As you make your way down to Terrell Park Trailhead in Milford, you come upon an unassuming hut buried in the trees. In that hut, you'll be greeted by a huge smile from Alex, the trip coordinator, and sometimes by a furry sidekick which also happens to be River Dogs mascot, River. Alex will get you set-up with life vests and paddles, and the other team members will load your kayaks/canoes onto the trailers. I can't go without commenting on the quality of the gear - brand new jackets and paddles which are comfortable to wear and handle, as well as kayaks that are befitting for both the first-timer and the veteran paddlers! After a quick shuttle up-river, you'll launch into the Little Miami and embark on a 4 mile journey back to River Dogs Paddlesports. (If you're looking for a longer trip, call over to the livery and they'll let you know about other trip options.) As stated above, this part of the river is gorgeous. There are a few rapids that are sure to give your arms a workout, some shady pull-off's where you can take a dip in the cool water, and if you're paying attention, you may even spot a bald eagle! I would highly recommend planning a trip with River Dogs Paddlesports. If you're looking for a nice family activity, safety is their #1 priority - above all else. If you're in the market for a day-date, an adventure-day with friends, or if you just need some "me" time with nature, you will not be disappointed!

6 years agoThe paddling experience at River Dogs was incredible! Their staff made every effort to make our trip down the river enjoyable. This little livery spot is not as well known as some others, but certainly is a gem. The river is beautiful on the lower stretch through Milford. Definitely worth a try!

3 years agoYesterday, I had a large group booked with River Dogs. Someone in my group was running almost an hour behind and the staff at River Dogs was extremely nice, accommodating and didn’t rush us at all (though I’m sure there was a little panic on timing for the next group of kayakers!). They took the time to talk to us and keep us entertained and explained what we could expect while on the river. Upon returning, we had just as great of an experience. If I could give them more stars, I would. We will most definitely be back.
