3 years agoThis is a good camp for those who like to camp in cabins. The cabins are good sized for twelve, have lots of Venetian style windows, are spaced enough for a modest level of privacy and have a good bathroom centrally located. The bunk beds have good ladders and even have modest, but useful mattresses. The dining hall is good sized, is in good condition and is very functional. There are tetherball, basketball, and gagaball courts. There is a medium sized campfire ring in a central location. There is a nature hiking path to a large campfire amphitheater in the woods overlooking Lake Jacomo. The camp is surrounded by woods to give it a woodsy feel, though most of camp is cleared of trees and brush so you aren't immersed in the woods. A large building is under construction just east of the pool. I don't know what it is for, but I am glad that someone continues to invest in the camp. All in all, this is a good place to camp.

7 years agoWe used the Rotary youth camp for our boy scout harvest feast. The boys loved the venue. Compared to other camp outs it was pretty amazing with a great dining hall, nice cabins and a shower house. The only down side was because we were in the off season they had turned off the propane for the water heaters in the shower house. Since we normally don't have showers on our camp outs this wasn't an issue. We were hit by a tremendous thunderstorm, however because we were in the cabins and not tents, we had a great time. I highly recommend this venue, and our scouts look forward to going here again.

6 years agoThis is a great facility and camp. We use this for a Thanksgiving cook out with our troop. They provide the shelter we need to feed a large group. Two years running weather would have spoiled the cooking all day, but with the large hall we are covered. Staff is friendly and helpful and on site if you encounter any problems.
