Southern Museum of Flight

This is a great little aviation museum. Our kids loved playing in the cockpits and my husband loved learning so much about the history of aviation in Alabama. The staff are very knowledgeable and happy to help.

We took our aircraft-loving 9 year old there and spent about 2 hours just looking at everything! He especially loved the training cockpits that he could sit inside! The Little Pilots Playroom looks so great for younger kids!

This is a surprising museum that will interest airplane buffs and others. They have many planes and helicopters plus a few antique automobiles. The displays are thoughtful with some interactive exhibits and interesting history. This museum is little kid friendly with a play area and little cars they can tour in style in.

Pretty cool museum. Nice collection of military and civilian aircraft.

Great to bring for kids and learn about the beginning of Aviation. Learn about the Heroes that made the difference during conflicts!!
