3 months agoPlaces like these are needed around the world. It's great that we get to witness the protected animals behind glass and fences. We even get to touch a couple. It's also surprising to me that some of these animals are even up for adoption. The aviary area was super beautiful with very large enclosures. Second to that was the reptile area that had a vast variety. Some small children that are used to zoos will be a little disappointed and interested, Animal lovers of all ages will most likely be captivated.

3 months agoEco Station is a hidden gem but I hope they get more attention soon! Tucked away in Culver, this wildlife rescue center and science education center has staff taking it to the next level. The animals here are very well taken care of. Many come from owner surrenders, illegal trafficking situations, or just found on the side of the road. Great for kids and adults alike! Our tour guide, Zoey, was so fun and knowledgeable, and you can tell many of the animals there really loved her and trusted her. Many animals here are adoptable too!! During the tour we just got to see a handful of them. Please adopt, don’t shop! For a cheap $16/adult $14/child, this tour exceeded expectations and I am so glad we got to support them. They accept volunteer applications and host camps/events as well!

3 months agoA hidden gem that is a fantastic activity for the whole family. I went once on a regular tour and then booked my daughter’s birthday here. It was her best birthday yet the kids (and parents) had so much fun. All the employees are so kind and attentive and the tours are absolutely incredible! If you have a birthday party here I highly recommend adding the feeding package. Feeding a tortoise is pretty awesome. It’s so interesting to learn the back story of each of the rescued animals. Their birds are especially stunning and have really great personalities.

a year agoWent with the family on a Saturday afternoon to see and learn about unique animals. The girls (age 5) truly enjoyed their time as the tour was very informative and interactive, a lot was learned during that 45-60 tour. A variety of unique and ecotic animals are there (reptiles, birds, fish, a big cat, a fox, tarantulas, and more) along with their unique backstory. Getting there you have to slow down as you near, its a turn onto a small street into a business center where parking is shared with other businesses, buts theres sufficient space on the weekend. Small wait time as you wait for the tour guide to finish another tour and your time to arrive, but outside they gave a play area to pass the time or rest. Great staff as well, the overall experience was great and wellworth it.
