💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Communicate your family's specific interests (e.g., nature, history, thrill, gentle pace) to your guide to ensure a tailored experience.
  • Request specific guides mentioned in reviews (e.g., Joe for snowshoeing, Blake for rafting) if their approach aligns with your preferences.
  • Utilize the convenient pickup and drop-off service if staying in areas like Park City for snowshoeing.
  • Be prepared to listen to guide instructions for safety and to get the most out of the experience, especially on rafting tours.
  • Expect low crowd levels and a more private tour experience.
  • While snacks are provided on rafting, consider bringing specific snacks if your children have particular dietary needs or preferences.

Things to Consider

  • Rafting tours are described as 'Class 2' rapids, which are 'pretty low on the excitement side'; might not satisfy families seeking high-adrenaline white water rafting.

Price & Value

While no specific prices are mentioned, the reviews consistently highlight a high-value experience. This is evidenced by the personalized service, expert guides, convenience (pickup, equipment, snacks, photos), and the ability to tailor tours to individual family needs, all of which contribute to exceeding parental expectations for the cost.

Accessibility & Special Needs

  • No specific accessibility accommodations are mentioned in the reviews.
  • Snowshoeing and rafting inherently require a degree of physical mobility (walking in snow, getting into/out of a raft, paddling).

🍎Food & Drink Policy

  • Rafting tours include water and snacks provided by the guide.
  • Snowshoeing tours do not mention provided food, but convenient pickup suggests no major need to pack extensive meals.

🚗Parking Info

  • Snowshoeing: Pickup from condos in Park City is offered, eliminating the need for personal parking.
  • Rafting: Not explicitly mentioned, but likely involves a designated meeting point.

👥Crowd Levels

  • Very low. Snowshoeing tours reported seeing 'only 2 other groups in 3 hours' or 'almost no other traffic'.
  • Rafting tours noted having 'the River to ourselves for the beginning of the ride' and 'each family was assigned to its own raft', indicating a private experience.

🛡️Safety Features

  • Guides are highly knowledgeable about terrain and river conditions (e.g., guiding through shallow parts).
  • Rafting activities require teamwork and listening to guide instructions, implying safety briefings and continuous guidance.
  • The rafting described (Class 2 rapids) is inherently a safer, introductory level to white water rafting.
  • Guides ensure all participants can get the hang of paddling before starting the main activity.

When to Avoid

  • Families seeking intense, high-class white water rafting rapids, as the described tours are Class 2 and more mild.
  • Parents of very young children (toddlers or preschoolers) for rafting, as the activities described cater to school-aged kids (9+).
  • Families who prefer self-guided adventures and do not wish to be accompanied by a guide.

Incredible snowshoe hike for all ages! Joe picked us up at our condo and took us on the most breathtaking experience. The location was remote but still within the city limits. We only passed 2 other groups in the 3 hours we were on our excursion. Joe was very knowledgeable regarding the terrain and explained several interesting facts about the area. He had us experience walking in fresh snow as well as walk down a very steep hill for the thrill. Joe also spotted a moose which made the trip even better. If you are in or near Park City this is a MUST!! Make sure to ask for Joe.

Awesome experience snowshoeing. Jeremy was a fantastic guide and made sure that the whole party had fun. We had options for routes and were able to find one with almost no other traffic. We were also able to pivot to meet the needs of my two nephews and they had a great time. Would book again for sure.

We went on a guided rafting tour that included my wife, two children (9 and 12), and myself. I knew this would be a class 2 "rapid" which means pretty low on the excitement side, but I was hoping to give my family a positive introduction to rafting and hopefully see some nice scenery. The experience did all that and went far beyond my expectations! First, each family was assigned to its own raft. This was great because our terrific guide, Blake, was able to tailor the experience to us as individuals. For starters, he ensured that everyone could get the hang of paddling. Once Blake realized our interest in nature and history, he was able to point out/share interesting details about how geography was formed, how settlers moved through the area, and pointed out animals and signs of animal activity. The rafting itself was super fun. Even though the river was quite mild, Blake made it fun for us when he saw how the kids (inspired by the olympics) wanted to paddle fast and pass other boats. Finally, the scenery around the river itself had incredible variety. From farmlands to going under bridges, passing gorgeous mountains, cliffs, and natural features such as "Devil's Slide", this really had it all. Blake even provided water and snacks!

It was a great time! Tyler was our guide and he was awesome to have on the River, guiding us. We went on the 10:20 float and was able to have the River to ourselves for the beginning of the ride. We went while the river was a little more shallow than usual, but Tyler did great at guiding us through those parts. We had a couple of rapids and some leisure time too, to see the views. They also had took some pictures on the River, so that was cool to have right after we got off! 3 out of the 4 of us went white water rafting for the first time, and it was a great time. Requires some level of teamwork and listening to instruction from the guide. We were able to have conversation and listen to him.
