a month agoWhat a cute little park. Worth the visit if you have a day in KC and dont know what to do. When we visited it wasnt too packed and we were able to marathon most rides but that will be different for everyone.

6 months agoI love most of the rides and coasters. The Timberwolf and Boomerang are particularly uncomfortable, so I avoid those rides. We purchased season passes this year, so we went to both parks and got refillable cups. Totally worth the price! Though maintenance on the drink machines could be better. I enjoy the Halloween haunted houses and stages performances as well.

7 months agoWe have been to World of Fun many times. They have really improved theming and added lots of plants and decor over the years. The food is pretty good and the employees are friendly. They have a wide variety of rides and some good coasters. Their ride operations could use some improvement. This is the second year we came to Haunt and absolutely love that. They have 7 haunted houses, scare zones and shows.

6 months agoI took my daughter for the Halloween Haunt. This is NOT a children’s event. The level of scary is above anything I would take a child too. Personally it felt over the top. As a single mom who was there basically wondering around while my daughter and her friends did their thing, I was targeted by every creepy monster that jumped out from behind a bush. At one point I was sitting in a well lit area and a person in a costume came up behind me and crashed cymbals in my ears leaving me in pain and traumatized. I did get some good photos but just be aware if you go with young children do not go on in the evening it is for 13 and above if that. I will not go back to this event.

9 months agoDrove from Omaha, NE in the morning and back at night in the same day. Don’t spend money on food here, prices are high and the food around KC is way better. Pack a lunch in and carry water bottles around to refill inside the parks for free. Travel light and wear shoes because you will be walking a lot. Try to go on weekdays for short wait times. Wait time for the Mamba was 5 minutes on Thursday. Parking is 30$ but you are able to drive over the median (more like a speed bump) if you go in the pick up/ drop off lane for free. Price for entry is 40$/person for both parks. Definitely worth it for how cool the parks are and the quality and speeds of the rides. My favorite rides were the Mamba and the new one called the Zambezi Zinger. The tallest ride in the park gives you an overview of the whole park which is very nice around golden hour. And don’t forget the smaller rides as they were a nice buffer inbetween the big rides because of how intense they were. Go to the biggest rides right as the park opens to reduce your wait times. Oceans of Fun is nice too however the concrete is scalding hot without shoes/ slippers and they won’t let you use tubes unless you’re taking it up for a slide. Great place to take an even number of people for a day trip. Great date spot too if you are prepared.
