I pulled a muscle at work and came here to soak in the hot tub. It was closed. The did not tell me this when I checked in, even though I said I was there for the hot tub. They offered me a refund, but I was waiting almost 25 minutes (in extreme pain and a wet swimsuit from showering) while they tried to figure out how to give me a refund. I had to work at 3am and needed to get home and get to bed.

First, I would like to say that I never leave reviews unless I truly feel I was wronged, or unless service is exceptional. Unfortunatly, in this case, it was that i feel wronged. This experience leaves me feeling very upset and I've tried to fix it through the corporate office and the administrator Patrick seems sympathetic, but is unable to help me without the Camp Runners approval. I dropped both my daughter's at Camp Reed. This was their 3rd year attending and I thought the camp was great the previous two years. 2 days after dropping my daughter's off at camp, I get a phone call from the nurse stating that one of my daughter's is sick and I need to pick her up. The person who notified me indicated I may get a pro-rate for the sick child and I would be able to get the store money back. I thought that it was a bummer, but was relieved I could get some money back to offset the cost of the sitter I would need, as I had made plans with the free time without kids. After picking up my children, I saw that they allowed my daughter to spend $150 of camp store money I had asked to be refunded, and then the camp runner, Calypso, indicated I would probably get funds back for the sick child, but not for both children. They were aware I was stressed financially and I was requesting store funds back, but allowed an 11 year old to spend all of it. In my daughter's defense, she thought i wouldn't get it back and thought she was doing the right thing. The camp should have known better since they knew I was requesting a refund. I was okay with the partial refund of one child and was prepared to eat the funds for the second child who did not want to stay without her older sister. I wait a week and no refund. I call and the administrator at the corporate office is very kind and seems sympathetic to my situation. It felt as though he felt I should be getting a refund, but it was up to Calypso, who refused. He states he will elevate to the next higher manager and cc me on the email. 2 weeks later and I still don't hear anything. I understand that kids get sick, but this is costing me and my family almost $1,500 dollars. As a single Father, that is no small sum. I save for several months to be able to send my daughters to camp. If they weren't going to pro rate and that was their policy, I don't understand why they brought it up in the first place. As a somewhat religious organization that is tax exempt, I feel as though they should do the right thing and prorate for the one camper, but they do not. My children loved Camp Reed it's a shame they treat their loyal customers like this. I would avoid this camp in the future. The fact they let an 11 year old go crazy at the camp store when they heard my concerns prior to pickup of the financial strain this was putting on me, was irresponsible, and telling me a pro rate should be coming back to me and not following through is unprofessional.

Was an amazing experience absolutely loved the (I believe) heated swimming hole you guys had/have! No complains other than taco Tuesdays sometimes messed up the weak gutted individuals like myself! Haha Loved the great attitude my camp lead had//the co lead had-I remember at the time the co lead had a Microsoft Zune to play songs at the time! Great time loved no phones all just pure experience

I still have friends from when I went 2 years ago, everyone was so friendly and it was really fun. The hikes we're awesome and I fell in love with the views from them. Only downside is an overwhelming smell of bug spray but it's camp so 🤷
