6 years agoThe water level is said to be around 12.6 , Tuesday morning. I took these pictures around 4:15pm Tuesday. The damage to property and amount of debris is crazy. The fast pace of the river was just mind blowing, and dangerous... Please use caution when stopping and taking pictures.

8 months agoFound this park today. It had a pretty awesome running loop and it's not too far outside the city. I basically took the flood wall into the park and ran back to Belle island..

4 years agoCool place to visit but not for the history. We visited to check out the slave trail. Not really much to see in the way of the history of it all outside of a few posts that marked the trail and a few informational signs here and there. But the area is pretty scenic and the actual trail was fine. There is also a boat landing and lots of places for fishing 🎣..

3 years agoNice park. Both in the city but has the feel of being in nature. Nice boat ramp with history. The bank on the river here is steep. There was a lot of trash all around the park today. There are a few picnic tables and two port-a-potties. Historical trail is mulched. Has good signs with information about the history of the slave trail. There is a lot of poison ivy along the trail. Many good sized rocks placed to sit on in the park. No playground here 👍.

a year agoAncarow’s Landing is truly a Gem in RVA, though it needs a bit of TLC. The area is fabulous for various activities on the James River. Ancarrow’s Landing shares a connection with Rockets Landing, Flood Wall, and Canal Walk.
