This is a great place to walk and explore. There used to be a German Village that was once here. The grounds have some history. You can still find old ceramic broken up cups and other dishes along the edges of the water. There are also old bricks and other items that were left to wither away in the weather from the old village. There are no remains of homes but there is remains of a bridge that once was there. Only the cement slab on the edge remains of the bridge. There is a lot of neat graffiti as well that kids enjoy seeing. It is a great place to bring your family to enjoy and explore what is left behind.

First off, this place looks nothing like I'm seeing in some of the photos that are shared here on Google. We took our bicycles off the rack and started to ride into overgrown poison ivy everywhere. Broken chunks of glass literally everywhere. A major drop off in the beginning of the trail that crosses a stream and you can't get to the other side of the trail This place is not well maintained. Come to think of it from what we saw the place was not maintained at all Garbage everywhere The beginning right on route 51 was pretty until you got through the tunnel, it went all downhill from there.

Awesome hidden green gem in the middle of the city. If you're going with kiddos, beware that this is not exactly a safe hike if you're worried about railings and whatnot but as long as you're aware and keep kids aware then we all loved discovering the abandoned bridges and tunnels and railroad tracks. You don't have to hike far at all to find them either, which is a plus if you're not into a long trek.

Pretty spot but ruined by litter and abundance of broken glass. Not a helicopter by any means but my son loves throwing rocks in the water and we had to drag him away crying because there was broken glass or other sharp items everywhere. The access point furthest back at the end of the trail was better but not by much. Signs posted by the water company that the water is contaminated by sewage. Nice.

This is very cool little park! Lots of nice views to see! If you need a minute to take a nice little walk and get some fresh air and a calming atmosphere highly recommend! Its hard to find the parking spot for it if you're heading south on 51 keep your eye out for a large dome shaped building and parking is right passed it on the right.
