Children's Ballet Theater

My daughter began ballet class with Children's Ballet Theater as a first grader. She is now in high school and continues to dance with Children's Ballet Theater! We've watched her grown into a confident, strong, disciplined young woman. I truly believe that her ballet training with Children's Ballet Theater has had a huge impact on her young life. Children's Ballet Theater instructors are remarkable women and men who encourage children and youth to excel at dance and dance to the best of their ability. The instructors and director make a point to showcase an individual dancer's strongest ability while teaching the class to work together as a whole and rely on each other as a team. I will be forever grateful to Children's Ballet Theater for my daughter's experience and the confidence that she has gained, not only as a dancer but also confidence in herself.

Online and Zoom classes have been so helpful during these past few weeks! Children's Ballet Theater teachers quickly and creatively found ways to keep dancers in shape, connected, and performance ready. Thank you Mary, Nora, Alyssa, Erin and all CBT teachers and Tennessee Ballet Theater members for keeping dancers engaged in a meaningful way!

There are not enough words to describe the incredible experience my daughter gets at Children's Ballet Theater. Her technique, form, and knowledge of French and Russian ballet is far superior than many high school dancers we know. The productions are beyond impressive -- it is hard to remember that almost the entire cast is a child or teenager! The teachers are top notch: they teach the dancers in such a way that it is the perfect combination of structured ballet with a loving touch. And the community absolutely is the most wonderful experience for any dancer. CBT makes sure the kids and teens don't just learn the fundamentals of ballet, they learn discipline, focus, being a part of a team and supporting one another, understanding yourself, and all around just being a wonderful human. The friendships and fellowship amongst the dancers, and the teachers, leave a lasting impression with the kids and parents. Can't recommend CBT enough!

My daughter loves CBT. She began dance at an early age with Mary and we have never been disappointed! Mary has such a wonderful way of teaching ballet and her love of dance is shown through how well trained and wonderful her dancers are. Her instructors share her love of dance and they are also wonderful with the kids. As a teen my daughter still looks forward to going to her classes several times per week and has always enjoyed learning what Mary and her instructors have to teach them. They are highly skilled and teach the children proper technique, while also having fun. Their recitals are fabulous and you can see the hard work they all put in when you see their perfection on stage.

My daughter has has finally found a ballet home! Mary is an incredible leader and we are thrilled to have Kelby as our instructor! This year's Nutcracker performance was truly an amazing performance that reminded me of my days as a child watching the Atlanta Ballet perform at The Fox Theater. My family is looking forward to many years to come with CBT!
