💡Pro Tips from Reviews

  • Ensure you visit both the indoor nature center for its educational exhibits and animals, and explore the extensive outdoor park and its trails.
  • Don't miss the 'natural playground' for a unique and engaging play experience.
  • Bring a picnic lunch to take advantage of the numerous sheltered picnic areas and grills, especially for families planning to stay for a longer duration.
  • Carry extra hand sanitizer or wipes, as some park restrooms (porta potties) lack running water.
  • Allocate time for the highly popular live animal viewing, particularly the 'huge tortoise.'

Things to Consider

  • Some restrooms (Porta potties) in the park do not have running water for hand washing, requiring reliance on hand sanitizer.

  • The primary 'real' bathroom is located inside the nature center, with other options being porta potties, which could be a consideration for comfort and hygiene preferences.

What a fun nature center! Took my 3 kids ages 5, 3, and 8 months and they loved the animals and wildlife viewing area. Of course the huge tortoise was everyone's favorite! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the restroom is spacious and clean, everywhere we looked there was more to see and do. Stopped at the wonderful playground on our way out. Can't wait to check out the trails next time!

We loved our time here! Very educational. Photos don’t do it justice. There are several live reptiles, animal facts, taxidermy birds of all kinds and their eggs/nests, hornets nests, interactive displays, and a bird watching room with binoculars for kids! The park itself is clean and extensive. Don’t miss the natural playground!

We stopped at this park and nature center to have our picnic lunch after a long morning of driving. There were a ton of sheltered picnic areas! The nature center is small so it was perfect for just a quick look at the turtles and snakes they have. We all enjoyed the park! There was a little kid area and the bigger playground plus some exercise equipment for the adults! Our teens had a blast and I hope we have a chance to walk some of the trails or visit the natural play area next time we go. The park has a lot of porta potties around. The only real bathroom I saw was inside the nature center.
