Gaia Guides Kids Camp

Working at Gaia Guides Kids Camp is hands down the best way to spend a summer! During the school year, I teach art and yoga, so getting outside and exploring the Bay with a bunch of energetic, curious kids is such a refreshing change of pace. There’s nothing like teaching them how to paddle or kayak and seeing their faces light up when they get the hang of it! This job is the perfect mix of fun, nature, and getting kids to unplug and just be kids. Whether we’re paddling, playing games, or just soaking up the outdoors, it’s so cool to watch them connect with the world around them and with each other. If you love working with kids and want to spend your summer outside (seriously, what’s better than sunshine and water?), Gaia Guides is the place to be. Every day feels like an adventure, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

My 7 yr son attended paddle boarding camp with them. His first time. Camp instructors were so good. Encouraging and caring. He was excited to go to the camp everyday. And learned safety protocols and techniques. We will be going next summer again.

Family Paddle Night is our new favorite activity!! We cannot say enough great things about this program. With a wide range in ages, from adult to seven years old, it's not easy to find an activity that our family can all learn to do together. This was such a fun adventure for all of us. The instructors were so kind and patient. We will be going back for sure!

My 9 year old had a really great time. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this summer camp if you're kid(s) like the water. The owner was exceptionally down to earth and really cool. We will definitely be back next summer!

Victoria is not only an amazingly experienced paddler (class 5 whitewater kayaker, whitewater SUP, kitesurfer to name only a very few), she builds safety behind every adventure with every detail and with client ultimate enjoyment in mind (she was herself acting as safety kitesurfer for our downwind SUP trip in Baja in addition to overseeing the tour). Her boundless enthusiasm and energy surrounds her whether teaching, leading, or just hanging out. Absolutely 10 stars out of 5!
