Irondequoit Bay Outlet Pier and Beach

"I’m not a beach-goer but coming here to view the lake on either of the two piers is amazing. It gets very crowded in the summer on the beach. The bridge also is open for cars during colder months and is closed for boat traffic in the warmer months too."

"We first visited here in 2019 as a place that was close to where we were driving from and for an easy way to step out onto Lake Ontario. Weather was warmer on that trip so there were more people walking on the pier, on the beach and in the water - whether swimming, wading or boating under sail or power. Nice white sand. Clean water. There are trails to walk down, too. We enjoyed lunch and freshly made ice cream at a nice spot alongside the parking lot.
