a week agoLevy Park is one of the best urban parks in Houston! It’s clean, well-maintained, and has something for everyone. The green space is perfect for picnics or just relaxing, and the landscaping is beautiful. The playground is fantastic for kids, with plenty of creative and interactive structures to keep them entertained. For adults, there’s ample seating, shaded areas, and even a dog park. The park also hosts events, food trucks, and has a great atmosphere for socializing or just unwinding. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak hours, but it’s well worth the visit. Definitely a gem in the city!

4 months agoThe park offers a little something for everyone, whether you’re looking to relax, entertain the kids, or bring along your furry friends. One of the biggest highlights is the kid-friendly water pad, which was a huge hit with my little ones. It’s clean, well-maintained, and the perfect spot for children to cool off during warmer days. The water features are engaging and safe, with plenty of seating for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their kids. For dog lovers, the park is equally fantastic! It’s a dog-friendly environment with plenty of open space where your pup can run and play. There are designated dog waste stations, which is great for keeping the park clean and enjoyable for everyone. What truly sets this park apart, though, is the variety of free events they host throughout the year. From outdoor concerts to yoga classes, there always seems to be something happening. These events make it easy to enjoy the park in new and exciting ways each time you visit, and best of all, they’re completely free! The restrooms are clean and well maintained. So it’s definitely a plus. Also, there’s always a friendly security guard in the park. Whether you’re visiting for a quiet picnic, letting your kids splash around, or attending one of their many events, Levy Park is a gem in the community. Highly recommended for families, dog owners, and anyone looking for a great outdoor experience!

in the last weekI had an extremely disappointing experience at Levy Park. I was enjoying lunch with a friend when my car was towed, despite parking in a spot clearly marked for stays under three hours. As I ran toward the tow truck (operated by American Wrecker) to try to stop them, the driver nearly ran me over. To make matters worse, the on-site security “agent” Scott, and her supervisor were incredibly rude and dismissive, refusing to listen to my concerns. This experience left me feeling unsafe and unwelcome. I expected better from a public space that should be enjoyable for visitors. I will not be returning.

3 months agoLevy Park is a great place to bring your fur babies. He or she will have a good time and so will you. There’s a section where they are able to run and interact with other dogs and people. The section is split into two sections. One side is for small dogs and the other for larger dogs. On the opposite side of the park, there is a playground for the kids, food trucks, restaurants and a library. When we visited, there was a group doing yoga. There’s a Bar called Gaspachos where you can get you a decent margarita and with the purchase, get a treat for your pup or pups. The bartender was friendly but another day we went she wasn’t too nice. Maybe she was having a bad day.

2 weeks agoOne of my favorite parks to take my kids. It has so many things for kids to get some of that energy out. It also has a splash pad for those hot Houston summer days. Parking is scarce but there is a pay parking garage.
