"I had a great first time experience here today. The guys working the desk where very welcomed and patient with all my questions. They took their time helping me and a friend getting into our kayak. You have the option to go up the canal or even go through the lock (just make sure you tell them). Definitely would go again and hope that the wind will be less of a nuisance."

"I took the "Introduction to Whitewater" class yesterday (7/28/19). The class size was very small and the instructors (Charles and Brian) were welcoming and very patient. Every new skill they would start with a solid foundation: what the skill will be and why it is important for whitewater, then they will demonstrate it, lastly they will have you complete the skill under their close supervision. I can not express what an amazing time I had in words, we started the day with the basics and some of those in the class had only been in a boat once before. By the end of the day everyone was learning "

"Excellent walking park. If you're lucky and come at the right time, you might catch a boat being lowered into the canal, so it can go under the bridge."
