4 months agoAlways love to come here for some summer kayaking. Froendly staff and such a nice tranquility on the water overlooking NYC. They do not require reservations, just show up. Never had a problem getting a kayak. The best part, no need to bring a lock either, they give it to you. Phones have to be in pouches if you want to take them with you on water.

a year agoRevised review: way too small of an area roped off BUT, free and lovely service, fun. Book ahead for guaranteed in, super nice staff, no experience necessary (I think) Kayaks are hard to tip, they have two person. They give you life jacket, locker, etc.

5 months agoTried free kayaking at the pier! It was a quick and easy process to sign up. You just have to sign a waiver and you’re good to go. They have single and double kayaks for use. All the staff are volunteers but why are really informative and friendly. You might get a little wet so dress accordingly. The water is smooth but can get a little bumpy from passing vessels.
