Maruta Gardner Playground

"Really fun playground located right across the street from the Belmont Park area. It’s right between the bay and the ocean. There are bathrooms and showers, volleyball courts, lots of engaging structures for a variety of ages, benches, and chairs, grassy areas, etc. Would highly recommend."

"Stayed at Hyatt and had to checkout earlier. Kids spent a couple of hours with ease. Great views, clean park and lots of space to sit. Just watch out for kids as the park is huge and have some hidden spots not easier to view."

"On our most recent visit to Belmont park we parked in the lot adjacent to this park because there was plenty of parking available. On the way back we stopped to the kids play at Marita Gardner playground. I didn’t realize the legacy of Marita Gardner, she was an educator and community activist who was killed by a drunk driver while she was painting over graffiti in the beach area. I think it’s beautiful that the city dedicated a park to her. And it’s a fun, innovative interactive park that is often busy with delighted children. I especially love the pink color of the slide."
