a month agoIt was pretty weird but also really cool. The figures and paintings inside are super unique and really show part of the area’s culture. You’ll get what I mean when you see it. But it’s really small, so I wouldn’t recommend traveling super far just for this. If you’re nearby or really into art, definitely check it out. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see everything, but if you book a guided tour, you can take stairs or a ladder underneath to see even more cool pieces restricted when solo touring.

a month agoPhiladelphia's Magic Gardens is a truly magical place. Although there is chaos in the garden, that chaos somehow turns into something very meditative and peaceful as you mindfully gaze upon the details that are surrounding you. It is such a unique space, it feels like you are inside of the artist's mind. It's colorful, fun, and filled with so many strange but wonderfully playful details. I highly recommend visiting the Magic Gardens if you're looking for a memorable experience - if you really take a look at all the small things floating everywhere, you could easily spend an hour here. I purchased tickets ahead of time which were checked upon arrival. There is a small but great gift shop with some themed pins, tote bags, and post cards of the garden. There are restrooms on the premise (highly recommend visiting the restroom cause there is art hanging from the walls!). There is also a basement I believe you can see which requires scheduling a specific tour.

a month agoFun and eclectic experience where you are immersed within mosaic and so much creativity! There are indoor exhibits and most of the mosaic is outdoor, so good weather is important to enjoy and appreciate this space. Tickets are available online for specific entry times. While we stayed in Center City, we were able to walk safely here within about 20 minutes.

3 months agoWorth a visit for anyone curious about art. The entire place itself is a piece of art and that is evident before you even walk in. The very ground you walk on in this place is a testament to the very intentional work put in to design this place. There is no shortage of photo opportunities if that is your thing, and plenty of unique sculptures and structures to get up close and personal with. I have fond memories of this place and would be happy to return one day.

a month agoMy wife had expressed interest in visiting the museum, but unfortunately, it was closed on Tuesday. We decided to explore the surrounding area instead. The beauty and thought-provoking nature of the surroundings left a lasting impression on us. Interestingly, the church beside the museum and the wall across the road also feature similar style of broken pieces recycled mosaic walls. I hope to visit the museum at a later date.
