2 weeks agoWe visited on a Wednesday afternoon. Overall the experience was engaging for the kids and there was plenty for them to do. One thing that didn't sit well with me though was how they simply cut the power to all of the attractions and activities 30 minutes before closing. The museum is scheduled to close at 4:30pm but without warning, everything in the entire place completely shut down at 4pm sharp. I mean, I understand wanting everyone out by a certain time but the way it was approached was pretty off-putting. Plus, if the place closes at 4:30pm then that's the time I would expect that everything would be available. If you want people out by 4:30pm then change your hours to close at 4pm so that you have the extra 30 minutes to ensure everyone is out.

in the last weekThis was fantastic! I am a grandfather with daughter and 2-year old granddaughter and we had a marvelous time there. And, we only saw part of this child centric (and sized) activity center. This museum not only exposed children to science, engineering and math concepts, but also the reality of the day to day activities they are exposed to. They get to shop in a grocery store complete with checkout. They get to walk onto busses and trolleys. They get to pretend they are either at the rocket mission control center or in the spaceship. So many activities with displays that are not only child sized but the most ingenious I have seen. So happy my daughter moved to Philly!

a month agoThis museum was the absolute coolest!!! My 6 year old has so much fun. The huge water table, the grocery store, small town, Alice in wonderland. I wish we had one closer to home (visiting from IN). I would come here all the time! It was clean too and had plenty of different areas for smaller kiddos and older kiddos. I loved this, you have to bring your kiddos here!!!!

a month agoA great experience for everybody in the family. I especially loved the "Food and Family" exibit by Giant. They have what looks like a child sized Giant food store for the kids to shop, stock shelves, bake pizza, decorate cakes, and checkout their products at the self checkout! Very cool for me to see as a Giant bakery employee myself. Tickets are very affordable, and they even offer tickets at a cheaper price for those on government assistance.

2 weeks agoThis place is good but slightly overrated. The good: it’s very spacious, well-staffed, and lots for kids to do. The bad: there’s no playground or climbing structure, the parking is a bit pricey, and there wasn’t enough seating in the cafeteria. Also, it was very busy for a Monday. I can’t imagine how crowded it must be on a weekend. It short, it’s a good place to take kids 7 years old and under, but it’s not the best children’s museum my family has been to.
