About Surge Entertainment

Surge Entertainment boasts a wide array of activities including bowling, arcade, inflatable bounce area, mini golf, laser tag, sports simulators, and a dark ride, making it a comprehensive family entertainment center. When operations run smoothly, it offers a clean facility, friendly staff, and surprisingly good food for a stress-free family day. However, significant inconsistencies in staff training and management oversight can severely impact the experience, particularly for party packages.

Best for: Families seeking a wide variety of activities under one roof.Birthday parties for children, provided operational issues with staffing and amenities are addressed.A casual outing for kids and adults who enjoy bowling and arcade games.A stress-free day if you prioritize good food and a clean main area (based on positive experiences).Excellent for a wide range of 'kids and adults' due to varied activities like arcade, bowling, and sports simulators.

Why families love it

  • Bowling lanes are clean and well-maintained.
  • Arcade features a great mix of games for both kids and adults.
  • Food quality is noted as 'way better than typical entertainment spot,' served hot, fresh, and flavorful.
  • Staff (greeter) can be incredibly friendly and helpful with specials.
  • The facility is generally described as spotless (Review 1), though specific cleaning lapses were observed.
  • Offers a large space with many different activity areas.

Insider tips

  • Be prepared for potential staff confusion regarding activity passes and promotions; clarify details at the front desk or before purchasing.
  • If arcade prize redemption is important, be aware that Surge's arcade games do not offer it.
  • Inquire about grip sock availability when booking party packages or planning to jump, as they are mandatory and have been out of stock.
  • Arrive with patience for potential operational inconsistencies, particularly with new or less understood attractions.
  • If supervising younger children in the bounce/strike arena areas, be aware there are no dedicated parent seating options.

Good to know before you go

  • If you expect seamless, well-explained operations and consistent staff knowledge across all attractions.
  • Booking party packages without confirming all inclusions (especially mandatory safety items like socks) and clarifying reimbursement policies for missing items.
  • If you require strict adherence to safety protocols for all attractions without needing to prompt staff.
  • If you prefer entertainment venues with benches or seating for parents in active play areas.
  • If non-functional restrooms or gaming devices would significantly impact your experience (as these have been reported).
Crowds
Can appear 'pretty crazy, kids running all around' at times, suggesting a busy atmosphere.
Value
A birthday party package for 10 jumpers costs $350 and includes mandatory grip socks, which typically cost $3.25 a pair ($32.50 for 10). Value is perceived as poor when included items like socks or services (e.g., table setup, included water) are missing, and management refuses reimbursement, making the $350 feel like a significant waste for a compromised experience.
Food
Features an on-site restaurant and bar with food described as 'hot, fresh, and full of flavor.'
Accessibility
No specific accommodations mentioned.
Safety
Mandatory Surge grip socks are required for jumping activities, costing $3.25 a pair, to prevent injury.

"Surge really exceeded our expectations. The bowling lanes were clean and well-maintained, and the arcade had a great mix of games for both kids and adults. What really stood out, though, was the food—way better than your typical entertainment spot. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly and the whole place was spotless. A great spot for a fun, stress-free day with the family!"

"First, they put a lot of money into this place and there is A LOT of different activities to try. Activities included arcade games, bowling, inflatable bounce area, restaurant, strike arena (also like a play space), mini golf and laser tag. The greeter at the door was friendly and told us about the specials, however, it wasn't fully explained that the arcade games wouldn't collect points for prize redemption. This was a bit of a bummer. BUT here are my observations that I hope management will see and make some changes in the near future. The staff at the stations have absolutely no idea how "

"TERRIBLE experience. Half of the restrooms weren’t working. Half of the gaming devices didn’t work. We arrived and had to wait for our table to be set up, had to request the water that was included in the party package that we paid for. Per the company policy, kids aren’t allowed to jump without the Surge grip socks. So on this occasion, because they missed their shipment, our children were put at risk of getting injured. Paying for a party package, the socks are included in the bundle. Since they missed their shipment and were out of socks they were still permitted to play. The socks cost $3."
