Tar River Life

Very nice camp sites with picnic table, free firewood, trash can. Pretty scenery as most sites are on the water’s edge. As a woman camping alone, I felt safe as the property entrances are locked 24/7. Watch out for ticks though! They are numerous. Only one negative comment: the campground map shows bathrooms which weren’t there.

Great experience kayaking the Robertson Pond reserve through this company. Easily booked our reservations online. Showed up on time (a little early actually). We each had our own kayak (didn't tandem). Beautiful scenery - easy to follow route with the numbered buoys. Definitely recommend and will definitely do again next time i'm in Raleigh.

Tar River made our adventure on the Robertson Millpond easy. We booked a reservation on line and were able to get in and out of the water without getting wet. I hope to book with them again in the future.

Did a paddle at Robertson Mill Pond in Wendell and it was so beautiful and shaded! Very atmospheric. Tar River Life was very accommodating and informative. Go check them out! You won’t be sorry.

Labor Day weekend at Tar River Life camp site was awesome. Simply amazing. My dogs loved it specially my little girl Luna, she enjoyed seating by the river as people were kayaking and tubing and her favorite part was that they said hello to her. We had the tubes at our site for two days and were able to use them as much as we wanted...the lazy river was just perfect, the temperature was incredible. I'm so so bad at remembering names I need to work on that but I do remember clearly that every staff member I spoke to before , during and after our stay everyone was super friendly. My husband is already making plans for the next trip there. One photo Luna is on the floor, she didn't want to go home and like every 2 year old child 😁 she didn't want to go home. 100% recommended
