10 months agoI have done 4 different trips with these guys. Always a pleasure and I highly recommend this company for rental needs for those of us who don’t have our own kayaks. This is a great opportunity to explore the Haw River and experience the difference sections. I normally do self guided ones but the bynum trip was guided with Ben and Jason. It was a twilight paddle and a perfect way to gain a different perspective of the river. The guides were great kept us safe and taught us a few things as well. We saw bats, a ring neck snake, blue herons, ospreys and some fish.

7 months agoFantastic experience, friendly staff and reasonable pricing. We took the Saxapahaw to Union Bridge trip. Despite us choosing to go when the river level was extremely low, it's was a great experience and we will be coming back again soon. (Edited after second visit, added photos)(photos of both of us courtesy of a friendly staff member, Ben)

2 weeks agoI’ve rented, been on guided paddle tours and taken lessons. Always wonderful! Great people, professional, safe, and fun to be around. Absolutely worth getting out on the Haw River and these folks make it easy.

8 months agoVery cool opportunity to rent kayaks in one of the prettiest places I’ve been in NC. Nice man named John helped me get set for my first kayak trip, and nice man named Brecken (sp??) gave me good instructions for learning to paddle. My tips for 1st timers includes take water on your trip (they don’t have any there), and definitely use sunscreen and bug spray before you walk to the dock. The reason for the 4-star review is that they advertised a first-timers course on Facebook for the morning I went. No specific instructions were provided and pre-registration was not required. I drove an hour to participate and discovered that nobody was there to host the class and John didn’t know about the class advertisement. The instructions weren’t changed on FB, which I checked before I drove there. I recommend calling before you go to ensure their event is still taking place.

a week agoI cannot remember the young man who got us started, but he had a dog named Rocco. Anyhow, he was just superb in suiting us up and offering a review of paddling, which I always appreciate.
