I love this trail. It's huge and runs along the Monongahela, Allegheny, and Ohio rivers for quite some distance. My favorite part is that there are info boards all along that tell you about the history of Pittsburgh. The paths are paved so it's easy to both walk and bike along. And since it runs through different neighborhoods you can always stop and explore shops or take a break for some food. I especially recommend the section that runs through The Color Park. It has really cool graffiti all over the place and provides an amazing view during sunset. The downside is there are no amenities provided along the trail so if you need a water refill or the restroom you need to find a store nearby.

Enjoyed a walk along the North Shore - Three Rivers Heritage Trail during a visit to Pittsburgh in February 2023. It was chilly and cloudy during my trek along the trail. Beautiful riverfront area with many spots along the trail to take in fantastic views of the Allegheny River, Ohio River and Monongahela River. Great views of Pittsburgh's impressive bridges, landmarks, PNC Park and Acrisure Stadium (Heinz Field).

Near the PNC park, The 24-mile-long path connects the downtown area to the surrounding neighborhoods and makes it easy for people to travel across the city without getting in a car or on a bus. it lines the banks of the Allegheny, Monongahela, and Ohio waterways of course, we can't cover it all on foot, we just explored the area near PNC park. when we were including the Duquesne cable car, we could see this trail surrounding many neighborhoods. perfect scenic recreation spot: You'll find people walking, running, biking, and rollerblading down the trail nearly every day. the trail is well-groomed and consistently cleaned. There are several bathrooms, parking areas, and water fountains along the trail.

Definitely a 5 star review. After receiving info from Friends of the Riverfront I couldn't wait to visit and bike. Amazing what can be accomplished when ideas come forth and many work together to get it accomplished. Enjoyed biking Pittsburg's trails for three days. When first arrived I was so overwhelmed, but by day three I was out and about going here and there and everything was connecting (mentally and physically). The trails do interconnect via many ways, making it a delight for extended cycling. When day turns into night, the lights come on a it all seems a little bit magical.

I love this trail. Great to walk or bike. For biking total trail length on North shore is about 5 miles now. One can bike from Millvale to old jail. There are additional portions in Pittsburgh city and South shore. Tha are close to City is so lovely.
