6 years agoThis is a pretty place to go to for a picnic, but I’m surprised no one has mentioned the barking dogs from the research lab next door. It’s sometimes a little tough to deal with.

3 years agoFirst time there. Very relaxing atmosphere. Picnic tables in the area to have lunch, enjoy looking at the lake. The lake is beautiful, surrounded by lots of trees. Was very nice to visit. The Attendant was very curtious and kind to explain all customs of the services there. Very polite. Thank you.

5 years agoPretty much every lake in Central NC is a reservoir but this is one of the only ones I know of that won't allow dogs. Worse than that is I am unable to enjoy it because I work weekends and its closed the rest of the week. Its probably okay if you work a M-F 9-5 job and don't like to take your pet on walks. Shame because I live within walking distance.

8 years agoReally a beautiful lake and friendly staff at the facility. Prices were a little high for rentals though. I would have given it more stars if the fishing was better too. I've had better luck with fishing (and prices) at Lake Johnson in Raleigh and Lake Michael in Mebane.
