Beautiful parks on both the North and South sides as well as a great playground on the South side. There is even rock wall style equipment and a huge slide. There are helpful and happy government employees, patrolling security guards, a little cafe, and clean restrooms! All of this comes together as contemporary style grounds that has had some recent updates in the 2020’s. There are many public concerts and festivals on the grounds as well. The fountain is usually full of children playing in the hotter months. This has become one of my favorite places in San Diego! It’s a perfect location for a Courthouse Wedding / Civil Marriage. There is plenty of parking and quite often you will find events and peaceful protests taking place here! I highly recommend a visit or a whole day here!

An amazing urban playground with play equipment for all ages. From the basic swings and see saw, to a large obstacle course like thing and multiple spinning rides, this is a great place to kill some time or energy, or even as a destination in itself. Has washrooms and a snack bar with pretty good prices. Everything is clean and well maintained. Close to the fountains, green space, Maritime Museum, and Little Italy green line stop.

Such a cool playground right across from the Maritime Museum on the bay. My kids enjoyed all the open-ended equipment while watching the airplanes land and take off from the nearby airport. We visited during January, so we didn't play in the water features, and still we had a blast. Just a short, easy walk from the trolley too!

Quite busy here but it's a nice playground for kids of all ages. Has waterfront fountains that kids can only play on the lower level for safety reasons.
