5 months agoWhen I am in the mood for a workout with my mountain bike I head for this park. Its close to where I live. The trails are well maintained and they can be a challenge. You could spend a day here riding or hiking. There are plenty of trailheads and lots of parking.

a year agoThis is the best place to mountain bike in the Denver area (different story once you drive farther west into the mountains). Rooney Valley Trail is my personal favorite at Green Mountain and it's a great adrenaline rush and workout. The views from the top can also make you feel like you're in a different world.

4 years agoGreat location to go biking or hiking with the family and/or your dogs. Beautiful views throughout and is a great work out with the steep uphill and downhill climbs. There are numerous ways to enter the area and everything is very well kept and maintained. For me the best part about this area is truly the views and being around the natural wildlife while on my hike. I'd absolutely recommend checking this place out and I'll definitely return.

3 years agoI love this park. From the parking lot to the telephone 🗼 takes about 35-40 minutes. The top is windy. There is some ❄️ and a lot of mud. From the tower to the top takes about 20 min or so. If you take the right loop back it's a little longer walk downhill but very beautiful. A lot of mud this week and snow. You can spot some dears Down the hike. Beautiful hike. Usually takes me about two hours and half to get to the top and take the right loop ➰ down. Really beautiful. There is something manically spiritual about this 🏞️

5 years agoAmazing outdoor recreation area, with a variety of challenging trails that beginners through experts can enjoy. Excellent scenic views of wildlife, the hogback, foothills, and the Denver metropolitan area. The location can be a bit too sunny/exposed on a hot day, so plan accordingly.
