💡Pro Tips from Reviews
- →**Personal Belongings**: Be extremely vigilant with all personal items, especially shoes, as theft has occurred, and there are no cameras or official recourse. Consider securing items or leaving valuables at home.
- →**Lap Swim Reservations**: For public lap swim, make a reservation in advance via the City of Spokane website or call 311 to secure your spot.
- →**Slide Height**: If your child is close to the 48-inch slide height requirement, be prepared for potential inconsistent enforcement by different lifeguards.
- →**Young Swimmers**: If your young child (e.g., 5-year-old) is still learning to swim, be aware that lifeguards may be very strict even for minor splashing in the kiddie area.
Things to Consider
- ⚠Theft incidents of personal belongings (e.g., shoes) have been reported.
- ⚠No security cameras on site, which prevents investigation of theft or filing police reports by management.
- ⚠Management is unable to provide recourse or assistance for stolen items.
- ⚠Lifeguards (noted as teens) can be very rude and overly strict.
- ⚠Inconsistent enforcement of rules, specifically a 48-inch height requirement for slides (child allowed for multiple days, then denied).
- ⚠Unwelcoming and immediate disciplinary action towards young children (e.g., 5-year-old) learning to swim in the kiddie area for minor splashing.
Price & Value
No specific pricing is provided in the reviews, making it difficult to assess direct monetary value. However, the value derived from a clean facility, ample parking, and lifeguard presence is offset by security risks (theft, no cameras) and potential negative interactions with staff, suggesting a mixed value proposition depending on individual priorities. Reservations for lap swim are required and imply a cost.

The layout of the center is very well thought out, contributing to the smooth running of events and ease of navigation for visitors. Furthermore, the parking situation at Witter is commendable. With ample space and good organization, it completely eliminates any pre-event stress related to finding a parking spot. The experience at Witter Aquatic Center was truly enjoyable. Whether you're participating in an event or just coming to support, this center makes for a great destination. 10 months agoMy boys went swimming today had a great time. They put their things right where they could see their things.. but one of my boys got his shoes stolen (his only pair) when I arrived to pick them up and talked to manager they told me they have no cameras on site and couldn’t even put a police report in or do anything - I find that really strange 6-20-2024 size 9’s

2 years agoIt's a cute pool but depending on the lifeguards (who are all teens) they get VERY rude. My son went down the slides for three days in a row. All of the sudden they told him he's just under the 48 inch req. Then, he was swimming (hes 5) and doggy paddles and splashed someone barely and immediately they were on him. For kids learning to swim...in the kiddie area, that seems wrong to me. We respect others and we were not feeling welcomed there.

2 years agoGood facility for public lap swim. Just keep in mind you have to make a reservation through the City of Spokane website in order to secure a spot, otherwise you have to call 311 and pay over the phone. Locker rooms are clean, and pool is clean. Happy I found this pool to exercise.
