💡Pro Tips from Reviews

- →Ask specific questions regarding the training of referees/coaches in handling player conflicts, aggressive behavior, and emergencies.
- →Seek testimonials or direct feedback specifically for children's programs, as the provided reviews are largely for adult leagues.
- →Verify the responsiveness of league management to serious concerns before committing to a season.
Things to Consider
- ⚠**Severe safety incident reported, including physical assault (concussion) and death threats from another player in a co-ed basketball league (Review 5).**
- ⚠**Alleged lack of immediate intervention by referees and league managers during serious player misconduct (Review 5).**
- ⚠**Unresponsive customer service/league representatives (e.g., Juan) when following up on serious player safety concerns and misconduct (Review 5).**
- ⚠Perception that serious safety incidents are 'swept under the rug' by management (Review 5).
- ⚠Potential for inadequate policies or enforcement regarding player conduct and conflict resolution.

4 months agoThe Zog softball league has been a great opportunity to meet new friends while staying active! Our usual umpire, I think her name is Marg, is professional, experienced, and overall just really sweet person. Recommend 10 out of 10

4 months agoI had the pleasure of playing Zog softball at Cheviot Hills just about every Sunday for a year and a half while living in Los Angeles. I wouldn’t trade those Sunday afternoons with that group for anything. It’s a great group with the love of the game and the best ump in the business, Brian. If you like to laugh and love softball, Cheviot Hills on a Sunday is where you should be.

4 months agoTerrible experience in co-ed basketball. A player on another team gave me a concussion in one game and then, in a later game, the same player threatened to beat me to death. He then proceeded to chase me around the court and the refs/league managers did nothing. I’ve followed up multiple times with a rep, named Juan, and have been met with complete silence regarding how this player will be dealt with in the future. Seems like they are trying to sweep this under the rug like it never happened just to make more money, which is very concerning. If you’re looking for a safe, fun co-ed basketball league this definitely isn’t the one—spend your money elsewhere.
