2 months agoOur visit to the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area was a perfect choice for a relaxing outdoor day trip! The whole experience was enjoyable and educational. One of the highlights was becoming Jr. Rangers after completing a variety of fun and interactive activities. It was a great way to engage with the park and learn more about the history and natural beauty of the area. We also had the chance to get stamps for our National Park Book, which was a fun bonus and made the experience feel even more rewarding. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable, and it was clear they were passionate about sharing the park's significance with visitors. Overall, we left with a deeper appreciation for the Chattahoochee River and the surrounding environment. If you’re looking for a peaceful and enriching day outdoors, this is definitely a great spot to visit. We'll definitely be back to explore more of what this beautiful area has to offer!

a year agoGorgeous trails. I could spend hours walking around. The waterfalls were relaxing. I rested on a few of the benches throughout the park to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Wonderful experience with the junior ranger program!! You won't regret your visit.

a year agoBeautiful waterfall (2!) hike with many trail lengths and options. Incline at the beginning of trail from parking area is as steep as it gets. Stairs to the covered bridge-a must see. Well blazed and many maps at waypoints. Restrooms if you cross covered bridge, go right, in the 2nd building on the right. Beautiful sunset views

2 years agoGreat place to relax and decompress. There are many sections and each area has its own appeal. The main trail is usually busy with people. Side trails are usually less crowded and it is easy to forget that you are in the middle of a big city with highways close by.
