2 months agoA beautiful venue with lots of history and charm. We had the pleasure of seeing Gregory Alan Isakov play tonight, and the show was amazing. Despite the venue’s size and capacity, the sound was incredible, and the atmosphere felt very intimate. Crowd control was well managed, even with so many people there. Plenty of exits made getting in and out super easy. I recommend parking at the Elm Street Parking Garage for $5 during off hours.. Can’t wait to see who else brings us back to this majestic theater! ❤️🙌

2 weeks agoBeautiful historic and fairly intimate theater. The only complaint I have is that the incline for the theater is fairly steep, and the floors were very slippery, so make sure you wear shoes with some grip or traction. Otherwise, great venue! Also there is a really reasonably priced parking garage kitty corner to it that had plenty of spaces so that was nice too.

2 months agoThis was our first visit to the Majestic. Came for a concert. Like so many of the old vaudeville houses, then movie houses, then shut for a couple decades in the 70s and 80s and restored and reopened again for live events – The Majestic just oozes history and sophistication. I found it a bit less ornate than many of these old theatres, and also a bit more intimate. It is still much better than theatres built new in the last 75 years (the exception being the Bass Hall in Fort Worth, which is outstanding). The sound quality was very good. Seat spacing in the orchestra level where we were as very comfortable with plenty of leg room. I will say however that the pitch of the floor going back from the state was much steeper than any other I have been in and was actually quite uncomfortable for standing for any prolonged period. Despite that, I so very much wish the Broadway Series that comes to Dallas would switch to this venue instead of the Music Hall at the State Fair which has such terrible parking and is so inconvenient. The Majestic has several high quality hotels and restaurants a convenient and comfortable walking distance, making for one parking per night ease and a great feeling of safety late night after the show.

a month agoMy chair was squeaking every time I moved, they need replacement or WD-40 at least. Enjoyed the show, sound was perfect, $10 total for can of soda and bag of popcorn. Parked inside a garage nearby on Elm & Harwood for $6. Make sure to check out the history downstairs by the restrooms.

2 months agoA Night to Remember at the Majestic Theater Our visit to the Majestic Theater for the Dirty Dancing event was an unforgettable experience! The combination of the classic movie and live music made for an incredibly entertaining night, creating a unique and immersive atmosphere that was both nostalgic and electric. The venue itself added to the charm—its historic elegance and intimate setting made us feel like we were part of something special. The crowd was engaged and excited from the start, and you could feel the energy in the air. People were clapping, singing along, and fully embracing the experience, which only added to the fun. The live band brought the iconic soundtrack to life, making every moment even more thrilling. Whether it was the romance, the music, or the contagious enthusiasm of the audience, everything about the night felt magical. If you’re looking for a place that delivers great entertainment in a vibrant atmosphere, the Majestic Theater is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to go back for another amazing event!
